Organization Description
Climate Bridges is a platform of collaboration ((https://climatebridges.org/) dedicated to facilitating partnerships and accelerating action for climate and sustainability. We bring together individuals and organizations to work as One Team for One Planet, addressing the planetary emergency through radical collaboration at the local, national and global levels. Our network comprises leaders committed to sustainability, climate action, and well-being, an dedicated to trust-based relationships and collective action.
Our Strategic Priorities for 2024-2025 are focused on Finance, Female Leadership and Food. We work on climate finance globally, in relation to the Baku to Belem Roadmap to mobilize USD 1.3 Trillion per year of climate finance, as well as on the Finance Initiative with a large coalition of political leaders and civil society leaders for the regulation of banks and insurance companies in Switzerland. We work with the Real Food Systems network in partnership with FAO also preparing for a united year of action for climate, people and nature in the lead up to COP30 in Brazil. We support women leaders dedicated to climate action in Switzerland, Europe and beyond through a global network of mentors and mentees, in partnership with the Inner Development Goals Foundation.
We also founded and host the SHE Builds Bridges community, a women-led network connected to the Project Dandelion global movement advocating for climate justice, as well as inclusion and diversity at all levels of decision-making to address the climate crisis and shape a sustainable future for all. We co-chair and support the International Gender Champions Climate Impact Group which recently delivered a ground-breaking Pledge for gender-responsive climate action endorsed by 70+ Member States, UN organizations and civil society organizations. We promote and champion a model of shared leadership to enable the systemic transformation of society, as well as greater female representation to enable women to make those critical decisions for people and the planet. We do this by influencing key governments and decision-makers at the UN, in the public and private sectors, as well as campaigning for bottom-up public support while amplifying the voices of those often overlooked. We provide networking and mentoring opportunities to support young women willing to take up leadership positions in the climate space.

Our approach: working together as One Team for One Planet
The future belongs to bridge builders. We can no longer afford a fractured world. Polarization is increasing resulting in our planet and our people falling apart. Through radical collaboration and new ways of seeing, being and doing, we can work together as One Team for One planet.
We can address the climate emergency and steer a bright future by unlocking the power of collective action and harnessing the enormous potential for impacts. We can unite and act, going beyond egos, logos and institutional boundaries, beyond North/South divides, beyond gender divides, valuing inclusion and diversity at all levels of decision-making. It is about mobilizing 100% of the potential of society, not half of it, with women and men working together, bringing balance to the planet. We are a women-led movement, supported by men to rebalance the Earth.
