Circle of Trust at COP29
You may have heard us speak about the Trust Circle, a term that resonates deeply within our climate work at Climate Bridges. But what exactly is a Trust Circle, and why does it hold such importance in our mission?
At its core, the Trust Circle is a dedicated space for individuals working on climate action to come together, connect deeply, and explore the transformative inner work needed to support the outer changes we strive for in the world. It’s about building a bridge between our minds, hearts, and hands—aligning personal growth with collective action for the planet. This circle encourages reflection on our shared grief, hope, and resilience as we navigate the challenges of climate work. In a Trust Circle, climate leaders and practitioners connect authentically, sharing insights, grounding experiences, and moments of mindfulness to replenish the spirit.
The Trust Circle recognizes that addressing the climate crisis goes beyond policy, science, and systems change; it requires inner resilience, an emotional shift, and a redefined sense of purpose. Only through this balance of inner and outer transformation can we truly commit to a future that supports both people and planet.
Trust Circle at COP29: A Special Gathering
We are thrilled to bring the Trust Circle to COP29 on Wednesday, November 20th, from 13:00 to 14:00 in the Action on Food Hub, Plenary Room. This event, titled “We Are One: Building a Bridge between Inner and Outer Transformation,” will be an opportunity to engage in a collective, reflective dialogue alongside other climate practitioners.
Led by Elise Buckle and featuring partners from Action on Food, Listening Inspires, and the Global Optimism community, this Trust Circle event at COP29 invites you to explore how the shifts in food systems, ethics, and collective mindset come together in a holistic approach to climate action. Together, we’ll embrace the opportunity to connect, reflect, and rejuvenate in the company of like-minded individuals, leaving with renewed clarity and resilience.
This unique experience is in collaboration with CoFSA and Listening Inspires co-founder Charlotte Dufour, bringing voices and perspectives that reflect the depth of work within the global climate and nature community, guided by the inspiration of Christiana Figueres, Plum Village, and Global Optimism.
This is more than an event; it’s a moment to re-center, rekindle purpose, and fortify our resolve in the shared journey of climate action.
We invite you to join us and be part of this transformative experience at COP29. Learn more about the Action on Food Hub and the event program here.
