A Call to Action Towards Planetary Peace
COP31 · Antalya, Türkiye · 9–20 November 2026
Climate Bridges at COP31
OUR PURPOSE
Working Together for Planetary Peace
Climate action is not only about reducing emissions or protecting ecosystems. It is also about how we relate to one another, how we care for the living world, and how we build the trust and cooperation needed to transform our systems.
At COP31, Climate Bridges brings together women, young people, farmers, civil society organizations, institutions and partners across continents. We seek to connect people and initiatives that are already creating change, strengthen their collaboration, and help turn shared commitments into practical action.
We believe that lasting transformation begins when people have the opportunity, confidence and support to work together across disciplines, generations and cultures.
OUR POSITION PAPER
A Call to Action Towards Planetary Peace
Building Bridges through Planetary Peace Partnership, Food Systems Transformation and Women’s and Youth Empowerment.
Addressed to the COP31 Presidency, the President of Negotiations, the High-Level Climate Champions and the Parties to the UNFCCC, this position paper presents Climate Bridges’ call for a more connected and people-centred approach to climate action.
The Climate Bridges community commends the global efforts made since COP29 and calls for renewed leadership and tangible outcomes on three interconnected pillars, which together can build the bridges needed for systemic change:
Planetary Peace Partnership
Food System Transformation: Transforming Agrifood Systems for People and Planet
Women and Youth Empowerment: Embedding Inclusion in Climate Leadership
The future won’t be built by one sector, one generation, or one worldview — it will be built through bridges.
Join us in transforming disconnection into collaboration at #BridgingCOP31.
OUR CONTRIBUTION
Three Interconnected Pathways for Transformation
Our COP31 contribution is organized around three mutually reinforcing pathways. Together, they connect planetary wellbeing, resilient food systems and the empowerment of women and young people.
Building the relationships, trust and collective intelligence needed to address the interconnected challenges facing people and the planet.
Through dialogue and co-creation, we aim to test approaches that can contribute to a wider pathway towards the 2027 Planetary Peace Forum.
01 Planetary Peace Partnership
Supporting farmers and communities to build food systems that regenerate nature, strengthen resilience and contribute to human and planetary wellbeing.
We champion agroecology, agroforestry, soil restoration, biodiversity, water stewardship and farmer-to-farmer learning.
02 Food Systems Transformation
Enabling women and young people to participate meaningfully in climate action, shape decisions and lead change in their communities and professions.
We support mentoring, confidence-building, skills development, networks and pathways into sustainability careers.
03 Women & Youth Empowerment
OUR JOURNEY
From COP30 to COP31: Turning Connections into Collective Action
Our engagement at COP30 in Belém strengthened relationships across communities, organizations and movements working towards a more regenerative, inclusive and peaceful future.
COP31 is an opportunity to build on this momentum. We want to deepen the connections between initiatives, amplify the voices of people working on the ground, and develop partnerships that can support long-term implementation.
Rather than treating peace, food systems and empowerment as separate agendas, we see them as interconnected dimensions of the same transformation.
